European shooters favor the EAW quick-detach mounting system for its convenience and simplicity, and Valdada now offers this system for the Remington M700, Winchester Model 70 and Mauser 98. To mount a scope to a rifle using this system, simply insert a tab on the bottom of the front ring into the front base and pivot the scope rearwards until the rear ring locks into the rear base. To remove the scope, press a spring-loaded catch on the side of the rear base and pivot the scope outwards. With one set of these bases mounted on your rifle and several sets of rings, you can quickly configure your rifle with different scopes that are pre-zeroed to it. Likewise, you can move a particular scope from one rifle to another if they are both the same action length and are fitted with these bases.
